Accessibility is about more than physical access. It is also about creating a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for people with different needs and/or disabilities. On this page, you will find practical information about accessibility, facilities and the support available to help you plan your visit at Dansehallerne.

Dansehallerne is located in Carlsberg Byen at:

There are three steps leading to the main entrance. Step-free access is available from the left-hand side of the square, approximately 35 metres from the main entrance.

All stages and studios are fully accessible without steps.

Elevator
An elevator is available in the building with a certified capacity of 24 people (1,800 kg).

Accessible Toilet
Dansehallerne has an accessible toilet equipped with a shower and a shower chair.

Parking
Several underground car parks are available in the area surrounding Dansehallerne:

Please note that the nearest underground car park in Carlsberg Byen has a maximum entrance height of approximately 2.05–2.10 metres. This may not be suitable for some wheelchair-accessible vehicles, vehicles with lifts, or other high-roof vehicles.

Wheelchair Spaces and Companion Tickets
If you use a wheelchair or require a complimentary companion ticket, please contact us before purchasing your tickets. Please email Sebastian at sne@dansehallerne.dk

Vision, Hearing and Other Access Requirements

If you wear the Sunflower Lanyard/Solsikkesnoren, our staff will understand that you may need additional support or reasonable adjustments during your visit.

If you are sensitive to noise, please feel free to ask for earplugs.

Assistance Dogs and Guide Dogs
Assistance dogs and guide dogs are welcome at Dansehallerne.

If you are planning to bring an assistance dog, we appreciate hearing from you in advance so that we can advise you and help arrange the most suitable seating where relevant.

Performances at Dansehallerne may include strong sensory elements, such as:

  • Loud sound
  • Strobe lighting
  • Blackouts
  • Theatrical smoke
  • Audience participation
  • Fragrances or scents

Need Assistance?
During Dansehallerne’s opening hours (09:00–15:00), our reception is staffed and ready to answer questions or provide assistance.

During performances and events, our front-of-house team will be available to help you when you arrive or while visiting the bar area. A duty producer will also be on site throughout the event.

Kulturpas
Dansehallerne participates in the Danish Kulturpas programme, which aims to make arts and cultural experiences more accessible to young people.
