Experience an explosive and moving dance performance about imagination, identity, and self-liberation.
NEON BEIGE breaks the boundaries of who we can be. A wild, sweaty, and hopeful journey beyond stereotypes and limitations, that you’ll feel!
The stage becomes a portal: a space where the inner landscapes leak out. Through playful deconstruction of structures, gestures, and objects, new pathways emerge for alternative ways of being.
The performer-choreographer Alen Nsambu braids memories, dreams, and desires into a solo that reimagines visibility, identity, and representation.
NEON BEIGE flows through states of transformation – unfolding into something that disrupts, reimagines, and creates space for the yet unknown.
By blending reality and fiction, NEON BEIGE becomes an autofictive voyage through speculative and fluctuating sceneries that unfold into joy, sweat and hope.
OBS: Theatrical haze will be used during the performance. Strong strobe light effects and loud sounds occur, as well as a slight scent of lavender.
Alen Nsambu is a Finnish-Angolan choreographer and performer.
Artistically Nsambu is busy with questions related to identity, normal/neutral/natural, autofiction and joy (on and off stage). Using a diverse array of performative registers and representations through interdisciplinary practices is at the core of their work.
Alen Nsambu is selected as Aerowaves 2025 artist.
NEON BEIGE is Nsambu’s first full-length choreographic stagework.
