Ballroom is an underground subculture created by and for the BIPOC LGBTQIA+ community in Harlem, New York. It stems from racism within drag pageant culture and has developed since the 1920s into what we know today. A ball is a space where you compete in categories varying from fashion, performance and passing in the hetero-cisnormative society.
Vogue Fem is a performance category from the ballroom scene. During these classes, we will dive into the 5 elements of Vogue Fem and the understanding of each element. Heels are recommended.
The classes are held at Dansehallerne, Franciska Clausens Plads 27, DK-1799 Copenhagen V, in Studio 3.
