In connection to the performance, Love’s Conversation is Dance, Efva Lilja present a workshop Wednesday September 4th at 12 – 14 in studio 3:
“As artists, we are facilitators of change, seeking strategies to influence society through art, arousing individuals to be active and capable of taking a stand, of making a difference. Art nourishes imagined futurities. The current political developments in Europe have shattered much of the commonality many of us have taken for granted. Access to art and our sense of cultural belonging are highly influenced by this, as is freedom of speech. To whom are we listening? With whom are we talking? What has love got to do with it?
As colleges we can search for common values, a widened dialogue and knowledge transfer. Getting an in-depth insight to a work can be one way. In this workshop, I share my take on choreography as dance, images and text. We will work with excerpts from the solo Love’s Conversation is Dance to frame the methodologies in use. “ Efva Lilja
