Overflade

The quivering transition between air and water is a magical phenomenon, where the refraction and interaction of the elements creates a world of beauty, movement and being. Here, light and shadows dance on the surface and underside of the water, while the splash and bubbles play across.

With careful steps, you and your adult enter a dynamic space between above and below. Soon you become curious about the reflective surfaces, and now see that luminous prismatic colors are unleashed in the room, undulating and gentle sounds are manifested, while shadows fleetingly change shape. A Surface Being shows you fun ways to unlock secret options and moves. In this world of continuous transformation, you explore textures, surfaces and movement as you let the pulsating beauty and wonder of the water and air sweep you through your sensory explorations and increasing playfulness.

OVERFLADE invites children aged 2-6 years into an enchanting staging through an interactive and immersive space. Created as a playful and sensual universe, where the children’s movements and curiosity bring the environment to life. Here, aesthetic and creative discovery unfolds with each movement.

SURFACE is part of the living area on the 2nd floor of Valby Culture Center. Here there is also access to a relaxation area, dining room and soap bubble workshop.

It is FREE to experience the Overflade work, which is part of the center of the festival.
