MADE IN JAPAN is a solo dance/performance by Tomomi Yamauchi. She will take you on a journey into a universe she refers to as her “mini-Japan”. In humoristic and poetic ways, the performance unfolds around the clichés and stereotypes about Japanese in the West.

It communicates, shares and discovers the ongoing and unavoidable struggle in finding ways of belonging, not only as a human in a new society, but as a human being in the world.

Before Tomomi came to live in Denmark, she stayed a few years in England – but – originally she was born and raised in Japan. She is – so to speak – MADE IN JAPAN.
