Rasmus Ölme
Det är ingen idé (there is no point)

Balancing between composition and improvisation where the live-event takes place, aiming for a perfect pitch, a gentle dance reveals itself.

After 15 years in artistic research Rasmus Ölme returns to the stage, reuniting the cast from his debut work This is not a test (2001).

There is no point. There is work. Collaboration.

A dance, like a dance. And a concert.

There is a dance piece. With text.

Once. A place. Not here.

I recall plastic. Ventilator. Soda machine.

Maybe a road

Maybe a river

Face to the ground

From side to side.

From out to out.

The floor grazes the fingers.

The fingers brush the heart.

When the body dances, I realize I’m not it.

Not mine.

Loose your self to dance.

There is no point.

After the premiere September 18th there will be an artist talk between Rasmus Ölme and Anna Grip 21.00-21.30, on the stage in the Blackbox.

After his career as a dancer, Rasmus Ölme founded the group REFUG and during the 2000s produced several works that toured Europe. In 2008 Rasmus moved his base from Brussels to Stockholm and in 2014 he finished his PhD in choreography at Stockholm University of the Arts.

Since 2015 Rasmus leads the dance educations at the Danish National School of Performing Arts, in Copenhagen. Now Rasmus returns to the stage and does so by gathering the group he made his debut work with.
