JOIN US AS WE CLOSE OPENINGS 2026 đź’›
After a festival filled with dance, performances, conversations, encounters and shared experiences, we’re rounding off OPENINGS 2026 with one final celebration on Saturday, 19 September, from 19:30–00:00 in Hallen, Dansehallerne’s spectacular performance space.
The evening begins following Land Before Time’s fluid and mesmerizing performance WATERKIND. Afterwards, Dansehallerne’s Director and Artistic Director Danjel Andersson and SHUWANA b2b YAREDO take over the DJ booth and set the soundtrack for the festival’s final night.
Camilla Lind‘s performance BAD ECONOMY is a spin on the economy of sex and on the financial hardship of being a performer in the late state of capitalism. The performance explores the gaze of the viewer and what it means to see and to be seen and by whom. It’s a piece that tries to push the place of where and how art is positioned, and takes it in its own hands. Broke and bruised; it navigates somewhere between reality and fiction, life and art. It’s a punk cocktail on a silver napkin with a femme fatale soundtrack in the back. Drink and you will see.

DJ Danjel Andersson
When I play as a DJ, I foremost see myself as a curator of beats. A selector. I start from jazz and jazz-funk and move through hip-hop and acid jazz into jazzy electronic beats and beyond. I’m seriously fascinated by scenes and connections: the Japanese acid jazz scene, jazz-funk from Brazil, the meeting points between jazz, beats, sampling, electronics and the dance floor.
For me, it’s not really about genre. It’s about tracing a lineage, finding connections and selecting records that speak to each other across decades and continents. The groove is serious.

DJ SHUWANA b2b YAREDO
Join us for a vibrant dance floor at Dansehallerne the 19th of september when Shuwana and Yaredo take the decks!
Shuwana is Sweden-born but residing half time in South Africa since 2015. Shuwanas connection to deep, afro and tribal house/tech music was first formed in the Johannesburg club and dance scene. When she initially travelled to South Africa to learn about Pantsula culture, she found her way into the clubs and fell in love with the heavy local sound. Having danced her whole life and being a force on the dancefloor she felt a natural pull to move into the Djs role to explore another way of being one with the music. With her background in movement it gives her a unique way of curating a musical journey, embodying the sound and pulling people into her world one beat at a time.Shuwana is a firm believer that music is a healing power that knows no border, and that a DJ set is an opportunity to foster connection between and within people on the dancefloor. Committed to her craft she continues to expand her artistry to deepen her understanding and skillset of deejaying and music.
Yaredo enjoys playing broadly across genres and tempos—finding ways to connect everything from Soul to House to Drum & Bass! His musical journey started as self-taught composer with a deep understanding of how sound can shape space and bodily perception His compositions are rooted in decades of experience as a dancer with a strong focus on the musical element. This later on spread into wanting to curate dance floors as a DJ with the same understanding of how sound can shape a journey on the dancefloor!
