The class draws on movement phrases and practices from my works High Tide and On My Tongue. We will start with a physical warm-up, followed by exercises working with different dynamics, coordination and musicality. We will move between set material and scores.
The class will focus on a FULL ON approach to dancing — working with shifts in intensity, imagery and performativity. It’s a space to explore how the sensed and the imagined inform one another as we move, supporting responsive and expressive dancing.
The classes are held at Dansehallerne, Franciska Clausens Plads 27 DK-1799 Copenhagen V.
Dansehallerne has an elevator with step-free access to all floors. Accessible and gender-neutral toilets and wardrobes are available on the ground floor.
We kindly ask you to arrive 15 minutes prior to class in time for check-in with the QR code on your ticket.
All members can participate in Dansehallerne’s training activities – a year-round program with approximately 5 days of training per week and now also workshops every other week. This is for all professional members regardless of background in dance training, and it is also possible to participate in a drop-in class.
International guests can participate in training for free for up to 1 month. If you have comments or good tips for the training program, you can always send an email to the curators; trainingcurator@dansehallerne.dk
Emilie Gregersen (she/her, DK) is an artist, choreographer, and dancer based in Copenhagen. Her choreographic work departs from speculative fiction as a way of imagining new worlds, driven by a curiosity to question and transform meaning. Working with desire, affect, erotic ambivalence, and queerness, she engages physical practices to create performances that evoke the senses.
Emilie Gregersen has created performances including touch (2020), Caresses (2021), On My Tongue (2024), and High Tide (2026). She graduated from the Danish National School of Performing Arts in Dance and Choreography in 2017.
