Amygdala

What does it feel like to be in a womb?

In Amygdala, the very youngest, ages 3–24 months, and their adults are invited into a magical, fleshy universe, where light, sound, and movement unfold into a sensory adventure. Here, heartbeats become rhythms, breath becomes music, and dance opens the door to our very first memories. Amygdala is a poetic dance performance offering a glimpse of the time we all share before we were born.

SPINE FICTION is a newly founded Copenhagen-based dance company with a strong Nordic profile, led by choreographers and dancers Julie Rasmussen (Norway/Denmark) and My Marie Nilsson (Sweden/Denmark). Together, they bring over 15 years of experience in creating performing arts for children, young people, and adults.

The company creates sensory, curious, and experimental performances focused on movement, the body, and visual expression. Audiences are actively engaged, and especially children and young people are met on their own level—always with artistic integrity and ambition.
