Bailes is an experiment in transmitting dances from body to body across context, and in opening up a dance performance to let a new constellation find its rhythm. The performance combines a range of expressions from wrestling and telekinesis to stand-up comedy and improvisation. The materials of bailes have emerged through a series of intimate collaborations each addressing (nuclear, chosen or national) family problems.
This performance is part of the long term research project Domestic Anarchism. Its materials and practices have been developed in a series of collaborations and cohabitations with HaYoung, Alissa Šnaider, Paolo Gile, Emma Daniel, Lisa Schåman, Malcolm-x Betts and Lauren Bakst.
