With KORA – dance for the youngest children you will receive a visit from professional dancers who will guide the children through dancing activities, focusing on aesthetic processes, play, and creativity. A playful visit that emphasizes the joy of movement to both the children and your staff and supports the community of the group. The projects’ portfolio of activities supports the development of inclusive learning environments and community-building movement cultures in child-care centers.
“It was magical to experience how the children absorbed dance into their body language. Without words, they immersed themselves in a journey through different sound universes. As a kindergarten teacher, it was inspiring to see how you can create a shared space and follow each other’s initiatives almost completely without verbal communication.”
– Kindergarten teacher, Sankt Johannesgårdens Kindergarten, Copenhagen.
Here at Dansehallerne, we view dancing as an art form that brings different forms and expressions to life within an artistic framework. Within this framework, we are able to express actions, thoughts, feelings, and consciousness. Often, artists use choreography as a framing tool – as a composition of movement in time and space. Choreography provides tools with which you can create motion, but it also allows us to analyze dance.
