In ‘Strømme / Current’, you’re invited to a transformation ritual. It’s a journey we take together and in which we all participate, filled with wonder and excitement. A journey where our body finds many different expressions. We explore what flows – what moves, as we go from one version of ourselves to another. From excessive consumption to shedding the cocoon through dances of self love. We call on ancestors, we travel through many bodies, we all meet in the ecstasy of celebration. Please join us under the shower of petals.

Jonathan Bonnici (DK/UK) is a performing arts maker. Besides being educated as actor at Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, he also studied philosophy and politics. As a performer, he has worked for The National Theatre in London, BBC TV, Universal Pictures and Canal Plus. Since moving to Denmark in 2015, he has been focused on creating interactive performances with diversity and acceptance at their core. Sall Lam Toro (DK/PT) often works from a goal of cancelling conventional concepts about time and emotional, social bodies. Queering is an integrated part of Sall Lam Toro, which is expressed through movement, performance, sound, video, and poetry. Boaz Barkan (DK) is a choreographer and performance maker. Since the 1990s, he has been working with methods from Body Weather Laboratory, Feldenkrais and Anna Halprin. Barkan uses dance as a means for exploring social topics by placing the performer as a mediator between the audience and the performance.
