The non-existing center

A dance class training instability, flexibility and plasticity as a way of operating relational and decentralized machineries. We will access the work through improvisation and set material, for the individual body in relation to its own complexity, the collective body and the shared space. We will work from our peripheries to affect the soft (and non existing) center. We will work with form as a result of direction, which is always multiple and relational, and as something to be passed through rather than to be stabilized or fixated. This is a dance class for tuning in and for dancing.

We will start each morning with an improvisation-based warm up, bringing our attention to different aspects of entering, being in and fulfilling a movement. The class will continue with set material, each day entering from another approach and with a new agenda. During the class we will go back and forth between dancing set material and improvised dances, to experience and/or decrease the gap between the two modes of dancing. We will end the class by dancing a dance phrase.

We encourage you to continue looking after yourself & each other and arrive to practice with a valid corona pass.
