How are we working as independent artists?

Peer to Peer /Feb 22 at Union / from 5-7 pm

How do we carry out our projects as independent and self-taught artists? What pros and cons are we facing in the process from idea to end result as small players in a larger dance industry?

These are the questions for this Peer to Peer.

Liva Xamanek Lopez and Anastasija Olescuka set the theme for this dialogue and facilitates the conversation with the participants. They will share experiences from their work processes and projects, as a starting point for a broader talk about the dance ecosystem.

In a conversation with Anastasija, Liva will talk about how we navigate between a creative and theoretical practice. Anastasija Olescuka will tell us about her process of making the performances ANTS 1+1=3 and Part Time Robot.

Part Time Robot will be shown for the New Sh*t evening at Betty Nansen curated by Liva Xamanek Lopez.

Peer to Peer?

Peer to Peer is an encounter platform with professional conversations about artistic practice in the field of dance and choreography. We meet twice a month at Union, where we start with collegial mingling and a drink in the cafe and continue in a professional session facilitated by the day’s guest / s.

There is a changing program starting, either at 4 or 5 pm

After the event, it will be possible to continue the conversations in the café, where you can buy your dinner.

We regularly collect relevant themes and inspiration for the program, so feel free to send an email to Anna Katrine, akk@dansehallerne.dk, if you have good suggestions.
