Daniel Sarr
Contemporary Jazz

Daniel’s contemporary jazz classes for Sustainable Dance Training focus on technique, musicality and groove and contain elements that Daniel brings from his research into the history and origins of jazz dance.
The classes start with a thorough warm-up that includes release technique, isolations, rhythmical and technical work.  He also gives choreographies with a mix of Contemporary dance and Jazz, plus a hint of Hip Hop elements, where he will also be able to incorporate specific movement elements from his artistic research and share the knowledge of their origins. Daniel’s classes thus tie together contemporary jazz dance with elements from jazz dance’s historical African origins and recognize the dynamics and time span between them.

Daniels classes are in close collaboration with Tanssille ry (FI), Danscentrum Stockholm (SE) and PRODA (NO).

These classes are held at KU.BE, Dirch Passers Allé 4, 2000 Frederiksberg in studio: Zen 1.

How to get there?
Zen 1 is located on third floor, please use the backstairs to access the studio.Go in via the main entrance on first floor, keep going straight ahead towards the changing rooms next to the climbing area on the first floor, open the door in the far end and go up the stairs until you arrive on the third floor.
