Hilary Briggs
Ballet

The class Hilary is giving stays close to a traditional ballet class. There are influences from the different styles she has been introduced to over the years.

Hilary likes to work with coordination and musicality: Different musical accents to work the mind and the body. To go against our expectations and be taken away from what can be seen as ‘square’. Hopefully this creates a less routine feeling to the morning training, possibly moving us towards finding a musicality that can be rewarding for the dancer and exciting for the audience.

Along with exploring and training our musicality, coordination, agility plus gaining strength; ballet can be fun!

The classes are held at Dansehallerne, Franciska Clausens Plads 27 DK-1799 Copenhagen V in Studio 3.

Getting there
Studio 3 is located on the ground floor with step-free access from the main entrance.
Continue straight on towards the changing rooms next to the Foyer. Studio 3 is located at the bottom right corner.

We have heard your wishes!
These classes are offered as an addition to the training program by Paul Pui Wo Lees Feldenkrais Live initiative. Due to this donation to the training program, there will be extra ballet classes, starting right after the morning classes week 4, 8, 10 and 13. This way you can choose between joining both or just one when it suits you best.

Arina gives a dynamic ballet class that is suitable for dancers with different backgrounds. Focusing of redefining placement, shift off weight, understanding the port des bras in pirouettes and jumps, rediscovering the importance of musicality and rhythm.
