Even Minn and Teo Ala-Ruona are a duo working with performance and trans-feminist speculative fiction. Minn works mainly as a dramaturg and Ala-Ruona as a performer.
In this workshop they will share the methods and practices that they have developed over the years of working as a duo and collaborating on the creation of a performer’s dramaturgy. Participants will write performative texts based on somatofictional practices and work on them in dramaturg-performer pairs. The dramaturgs will act as readers helping the performers edit and stage their text, giving suggestions and asking questions. In this way we will model a mini version of the collaborative creative process leading up to a performance. Ala-Ruona and Minn will offer tools and assistance as guides in this process.
The workshop is the second out of four workshops that aims to inspire artists in their practice and to contribute to a nuanced discussion on dance dramaturgy in Denmark. The workshop series is put together by dance dramaturg Ida-Elisabeth Larsen and is realized in collaboration with Dansehallerne.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP SERIES ON DANCE DRAMATURGY During 2023-24, 6 European dramaturgs are invited to Denmark to facilitate workshops in Copenhagen, Roskilde and Thy.
Through 4 practice-oriented workshops, and with themes such as positionality, feminism, trans-speculative fiction, ecology and exhibition, this workshop series aims to inspire artists in their practice and to contribute to a nuanced discussion on dance dramaturgy in Denmark.
The workshop series is put together by dance dramaturg Ida-Elisabeth Larsen and is realized in collaboration with Efteruddannelsen and Dansehallerne.
