”Poppea – a victory for Norwegian dance”
In a play (kammerspil) with some of the best dancers of Norway, the playful search for the beautiful in the imperfect continues.
With ‘Poppea’ Ingun Bjørnsgaard has created a performance which puts dancing in focus. Her starting point is an ambitious, merciless and perhaps bisexual woman who does whatever it takes to gain power and the title empress.
Monteverdi’s opera of Poppea is coupled sensationally well with Geir Jenssen/Biosphere electronika.
